This is a journalistic investigative project aimed at fostering the development of the Latvian driving school sector. Within the project, driving schools are reviewed critically and objectively, exposing unfair or misleading practices while also highlighting positive aspects and examples of quality education. The research is conducted independently, without showing support for or affiliation with any driving school.
Einsteins Driving School offers driver training in AM, A, B, BE, C, and CE categories across Latvia — in Latvian, Russian, and English. The school stands out with a modern, digital approach to training and a simple, quick-start learning process tailored to students’ needs.
Credo Autoprieks is one of the largest driving schools in Latvia, with 25 years of experience, offering training in B, A, C, D, BE, and CE/DE categories, as well as Code 95 and ADR courses. The school provides both in-person and online theory training, with branches in ten cities across Latvia.
Presto Driving School offers training in three languages and the widest range of e-learning programmes in Latvia (AM, A, B, C, CE, Code 95, etc.). It consistently ranks 1st in CSDD theory exam results and e-learning platform performance. Presto has implemented most of the industry’s learning technologies, ensuring a transparent and efficient training process. The focus is on reducing the total time and costs required to obtain a driving licence.
Mustangs Driving School offers driver training in A/A2, B, and BE categories in Riga and Jelgava in Latvian and Russian. Category B theory can be studied either through online video lectures or in person, allowing students to learn at their own time and pace.
Gross Driving School offers driver training in A, B, and BE categories in Riga and Daugavpils in Latvian and Russian. Category B theory can be studied both in person and online. The school combines a classic, proven training approach with digital solutions, ensuring a stable and clear path to obtaining a driving licence.
BAVA Driving School offers driver training in Category B and A/A2 in Riga, Jelgava, and Ogre in Latvian and Russian. Category B theory can be studied via an e-learning platform (distance learning) or in person. The school stands out with its digital learning ecosystem — virtual driving simulations, video content, and a theory training platform. In CSDD exam statistics, the school is listed under SIA Burnickis.
